Erma Miller Joins Strider Sports As Track Program Manager
Industry Veteran to Oversee Strider World Cup Racing at USA BMX Nationals

Rapid City, SD (December 15, 2011) — Strider Sports International is pleased to announce Erma Miller as the new Track Program Manager. In her new role, she will be instrumental in developing the Strider World Cup races taking place at every USA BMX National this season. In addition, Erma will manage the Track Support Programs that will help local tracks launch Strider programs to recruit new young riders.

Prior to joining Strider, Erma Miller served as Director of Field Operations for the National Bicycle League for over twenty years. She was instrumental in bringing Strider to the NBL and helped create the Strider Cup racing series at NBL Nationals in 2011. In addition, she served vital roles for the UCI in the administration of the BMX program at the Beijing Olympic Games and the UCI BMX Supercross Series. Her vast knowledge of the BMX Racing industry makes her a perfect fit to help bring the Strider experience to BMX tracks around the world.

Ryan McFarland, founder of Strider Sports International, says, “What a career of involvement in the sport! We are very excited Erma will be developing programs for riding and racing Striders at BMX tracks. We know Strider will only enhance the family atmosphere at BMX races and tracks as it provides a way for even the youngest riders to get involved in the racing lifestyle.”

Erma adds, “I’m truly honored to become a part of the Strider family. With my grandson, I’ve seen firsthand the excitement and joy a Strider bike and Strider World Cup Racing can bring to a child. Witnessing parents light up with pride when their youngsters race is what I love most about the program. I look forward to bringing that experience to other children and parents at tracks and races around the country!”

Special thanks to our new partner, USA BMX (http://www.usabmx.com).

Support Your Local Skate Park

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

Skate  parks are great places for little STRIDER riders to gain some confidence on their bikes. Most will have ramps of various sizes for everyone from the youngest, to those looking to practice more advance skills.

Travis is 3 years old and has been riding his STRIDER for only 4 months!  He certainly looks like he’s having a great time at the Lewisville Skate Park with his family.

Large Amounts of smooth concrete for the kids and no vehicles driving around for Mom and Dad to constantly be worried about…Win/Win!

Night Time Is The Right Time!

Friday, December 9th, 2011

There is something about riding a bike at night…Jane has already discovered this at the age of 3. With the lack of daylight hours in Striderville lights are even a good idea before dinner! Here is the story from her Mom.

“We came home at 7:30 last night. As I parked the car, 3-year-old Jane asked, “Mommy, ride my bike please?” I hesitated long enough to remember that we keep bike lights charged and she already had her jacket on. “Sure honey!” So Jane had her first night ride on her Strider. So rad! Thanks for a great product!”

Hopefully there are many more night rides in her biking future!

Have a great weekend whether you get out for a ride at night or not.

The Next Tinker Juarez?

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

As a four time 24 hour endurance national champion (and Father) it means something when Tinker Juarez says, “It is a MUST for toddlers! Strider is seriously the best balance bike on the market. My son Joshua was using the Strider as soon as he was able to walk well and we think it is the best way to teach children balance and coordination.”

Whether little Axel is gunning for Tinker’s spot or not! The Tinker Signed Special Edition IMBA STRIDER he won is going to be the perfect first bike to help him do it. From the looks of the photos that his Aunt sent us he has a personality as big as Tinker as well! Stride On Axel, Stride On!

Kenny And Brooks Bartram: Like Father, Like Son

Monday, December 5th, 2011

At the age of seven “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram (#690) started his career in motorcycles.  After turning professional at the age of fifteen his destiny was clear.  Since that fateful day he has become the winning-est freestyle (10 X-game medals) motocross rider in the world!

Kenny was inspired by his uncle…we have a feeling that his son, Brooks Bartram, will have all the inspiration he’ll ever need! For his 4th birthday his Dad bought him a KTM STRIDER to match his own KTM Motocross bike.

"Cowpoke" Brooks Bartram showing his Dad how it is supposed to be done!

After a little experimentation Brooks is already hitting ramps, albeit a bit smaller than the ones his Dad is jumping off of:
