We have two USA BMX STRIDER World Cup events under our belts…29 to go! We weren’t able to get any video of the events, but we put together a couple slide shows of photos from the Silver Dollar Nationals in Reno, NV and the Sooner Nationals in Guthrie, OK.

Six More Weeks of Winter!

Happy Groundhog Day! Punxsutawney Phil came out of hibernation this morning and saw his shadow. We’ll have to wait and see if this actually forecasts six more weeks of Winter or not, but with the weather we’ve been having in Striderville lately it wouldn’t be so bad.

Even if it does get cold and wintry Have no fear STRIDER is indoor friendly! With no grease from a chain to worry about, lightweight construction, non-marking tires and a tight turning radius you can bring them into the house if you do happen to get snowed in. Head over to StriderLife and add your suggestions to where to ride inside when the weather gets too cold.

Announcing The STRIDER Rider Calendar Contest!

Do you have a bunch of great photos of your adorable (most of the time) STRIDER rider(s) on your hard drive? Would you like to see him/her on the ‘2013 STRIDER Rider Calendar’? Share your photos (January Entries and February Entries) with the Strider Life community! Each month the employees of Strider Sports International will pick their favorite photo of STRIDER fun from those uploaded. That month’s photo will:

1. be in the calendar for 2013

2. be the banner photo for the next month of 2012 on the Strider PREbike facebook page!

3. The top photo each month will receive a $200 product voucher for bikes, accessories or parts from the Strider Sports webstore. The 2nd place photo each month will receive a $100 product voucher for the Strider Sports webstore and the 3rd place photo with the will receive a $50 product voucher!”

Rules and Regulations:
- By uploading the image to www.StriderLife.com you are releasing the copyright of the image for use by Strider Sports International, Inc. for promotional purposes in perpetuity.
- Individuals may post 1 photo per month with the thread for each month opening on the 1st day of the month. *see below for exceptions.
- The winning photos for each month will be tallied at 4:30 MST the last day of each month.
- The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be notified through the “conversation” function on Strider Life and will need to submit a higher resolution image by email after being notified.
- Photos are welcome from all over the globe! Keep in mind that shipping, should you win, will come out of the product voucher.
- * The winning photos will be sent to the printer in the middle of October, thus the Oct., Nov, and Dec forum threads will be open to post photos as of 9/15/12 and winners will be chosen for all three months on 10/15/12 at 4:30 MST. The photos for January and February will be chosen on February 29th.

In 1981 Dennis Anderson began his career with the original ‘Grave Digger‘ as a dominant mud bogger. After 30 years and several incarnations, Grave Digger is still going strong with Dennis behind the wheel!

It is very hard not to be impressed by a Monster Jam monster truck, especially if you’re a kid!

Strider Cup Results From the Striderville Extreme Indoor Enduro!

Last Saturday the next generation of Enduro racers got to warm up the track with some STRIDER Cup racing action! 34 kids came out to race on a challenging course with obstacles that included tires, logs and some mud for good measure.

We thought we’d seen just about every customization you could think of for a STRIDER until we ran across stew0511′s YouTube Videos! His son is the (seemingly) fearless test rider for the first ever electric STRIDER.

Talk about a lightweight KTM ~~motorcycle~~ motorSTRIDER!

Now get off the computer and have some fun with your kids. Have a great Saturday…and don’t forget to head out for some STRIDER racing tonight in Rapid City, SD if you’re around!

StriderLife: Brings STRIDER Riders Together!

Hinata got a STRIDER for Christmas! His Mom was super excited and posted to www.StriderLife.com, but she was a bit anxious because she had never seen other STRIDER riders around their neighborhood.

After having a dialogue in the introduction forum for a few days another STRIDER parent suggested that she look into some of the Japanese STRIDER clubs that had been posting videos and messages in other areas of the website.

Yesterday, this video was posted with a brief cameo of Hinata at the very end. He is loving his STRIDER as much as his Mom and has found some Stridering partners to boot. If you haven’t checked out StriderLife yet, drop in and introduce yourself…maybe you’ll find somebody in your area to ride with!

We have a lot of STRIDER fans that like to give their rides a custom sticker jobs as evidenced in the ongoing thread at Striderlife.com

Here’s a Custom Trey Canard Honda Racing STRIDER from our friends over at Throttle Jockey. They make sticker sets for motorcycles as their main job, but couldn’t resist making up some custom ones for an employee’s STRIDER rider!

Yamaha STRIDER GP!

There is something about a STRIDER that inspires both children and adults to want to ride them. It’s fun to watch a child riding because you can literally see them learning to balance and explore the world around them on two wheels. When you see an adult on a STRIDER it’s similar to when you see 5 clowns get out of a tiny car!

We started the adults on a STRIDER video phenomenon with the very serious “Rippin’ the M” which was shot on a local Striderville mountain biking trail. The STRIDER craze in Japan has brought it to a whole new level. We should have known that with our recent addition of a Yamaha branded STRIDER we’d have a whole new group of adult STRIDER riders showing up on YouTube!

Sit Back, Relax and enjoy; “Jace Speed”, “Rad Styles”, and “Axel NOS” from Yamaha of Camp Hill tear it up.

STRIDER Races At The Extreme Indoor Enduro on 1/21/12!

STRIDER Races Return to Rapid City, SD!

Bring your toddler down for some STRIDER racing awesomeness at the the 8th annual ‘Extreme Indoor Enduro’ in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. There is an anticipated crowd of over 3,000 people with National TV coverage on SPEED TV!

The entry fee per STRIDER racer is $10. Each racer will receive a STRIDER T-shirt, a custom number plate for their bike and a medal!

Children 6 and under are free ($0.00). Two tickets for Parents of STRIDER riders are available for only $5.00 each! (Tickets are normally $14.50 – $19.50) STRIDER families also get the added benefit of skipping the ticket line and paying at the STRIDER registration tent near the ticket booth.

1/21/12 Extreme Indoor Enduro Schedule:

6:30 to 7:15pm — Registration at the STRIDER booth

7:20 — STRIDER racer/parent pre-race meeting

7:37 — National Anthem

7:38 — Travis Pastrana/Nitro Circus STRIDER video played on big screen!

7:40 – STRIDER Racing Action Starts!
