StriderLife: Brings STRIDER Riders Together!

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Hinata got a STRIDER for Christmas! His Mom was super excited and posted to www.StriderLife.com, but she was a bit anxious because she had never seen other STRIDER riders around their neighborhood.

After having a dialogue in the introduction forum for a few days another STRIDER parent suggested that she look into some of the Japanese STRIDER clubs that had been posting videos and messages in other areas of the website.

Yesterday, this video was posted with a brief cameo of Hinata at the very end.  He is loving his STRIDER as much as his Mom and has found some Stridering partners to boot. If you haven’t checked out StriderLife yet, drop in and introduce yourself…maybe you’ll find somebody in your area to ride with!

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

We often hear stories of siblings stealing a STRIDER, but this photo of wooden bendy guys caught in the act is a first. Hopefully they don’t get too far with this STRIDER or there is going to be a disappointed child on Christmas morning!  Go check out some more antics from “The Bendy Guys” to add a smile to your day.

His Inseam might not be big enough.

Announcing the Special Edition STRIDER Licensed by Honda!

Sunday, December 4th, 2011

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Strider Sports Int’l, Inc. Announces The Release Of The Special Edition STRIDER™ No-Pedal Balance Bike licensed by Honda, for children 18 months to 5 years old.

Rapid City, South Dakota–

Building on the worldwide success of the original STRIDER bike (over 250,000 Sold to Date), the new Honda licensed STRIDER balance bike enables children as young as 18 months to begin their love of all things two-wheeled.

If your child can walk, the Honda licensed STRIDER will get your child cruising through the neighborhood and riding over dirt and grass with ease. The bike is mechanically the same as a standard STRIDER, but is customized with the official Honda graphics and the “Ride Red” logo along with a Honda #1 number plate.

“We’re excited and honored to be releasing the new Honda licensed Strider this Christmas,” Said Ryan McFarland, Strider Founder and Chief Enthusiast. “The color of Christmas this year isn’t red, it’s Honda Red!  We’re eager for all those little 18 month to 5 year old riders to open up Honda licensed Strider this Christmas…and with it, open up a whole new world of two-wheeled fun and adventure!”

Designed to be steady, stable, and safe, the Honda licensed STRIDER Bike is intended for children from ages 18 months to five years old.   The STRIDER weighs just 6.9 lbs., is easy to control and features an adjustable seat and handlebars to accommodate a growing child. Most importantly, the STRIDER bike teaches your child balance, coordination, and develops a glittering confidence not seen with tricycles or training wheel bikes.

Strider Snow Day: the Prototype (Part 2!)

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Last weekend Ryan took Jesse and Bode (his sons/official Strider test riders) out to have some fun with the snow Strider on some groomed runs at Terry Peak Ski Area.

All in all it handled really well…

Jesse went much higher on the hill then originally intended and also  did some slush/puddle testing.

Bode got some really good speed, stood on the integrated footrests and even got a few turns in.

Nashville Doesn’t Get Much Snow

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

At least a couple inches doesn’t seem like much to us.  We, here at Strider have a snow prototype that we’ve talked about previously.  When it snows in Nashville they are quick to adapt!  We ran across this cool modification on the Nashville Bicycle Lounge Facebook page.  Rather than build skis they added some fatter tires to help their little ones stay on top of the white stuff.

We love to see what you guys do with your Strider!  Whether its adding bells, streamers, horns or some sweet fat snow tires.  Keep It Up, and make sure to post photos and stories of the results on our Facebook page.

Violet on Christmas Day!

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing kids take their first steps on their new Strider!  We know that a lot of kids got a Strider for Christmas and we’d love to see and hear your stories.

Click through to our facebook page and share a photo or video on our wall…even if they’ve been riding for a while.  We also have a new review tab and we would love to hear from you on there as well.

Below is a great video we found of Violet (Almost 2)  on YouTube and her first attempts at what appears will be a very successful future of Strider Riding.

Domo Arigato Team No Pedals!

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

Strider has been making leaps and bounds in their international following.  Japan really loves Strider!  They have set up ‘Team No Pedals‘, consisting of 9 team members, led by their captain…Tsubaki (a 3 year old who rocks her pink Strider!)  Make sure to check out their website (nopedals.net), they have some great photos and video up.

The Japanese Strider distributor has also started up “The Strider Cup” in his local area.  We’re looking at expanding this to have comparable tracks and times from all over the world!  Keep watching as we develop this in the New Year.

Christmas in Rio…with JoJo!

Friday, December 24th, 2010

Feliz Natal e um feliz ano novo do Rio de Janeiro!  ~JoJo

Apparently in Brazil they celebrate Christmas on December 24th, something to do with the Southern Hemisphere I’m sure.  JoJo was able to get some face time with the big guy ,Papai Noel, as they call him in Rio then take in some tropical ride time around the city.

Merry Christmas from Team Strider and JoJo!

Papai Noel gets the thumbs up from JoJo.

Ryan Gets An Early Christmas Present!

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Ryan has been working hard all year.  He has also been behaving this year, if the package that arrived at Strider HQ is any indication of his lack of naughtiness.  Santa knew that he wouldn’t be able to fit the amazing ‘KTM 200 XC-W‘ down the chimney so he just had a delivery truck drop it by.

Ryan has either been very good this year, or he figured Santa might be too busy to notice the new KTM he bought himself right before Christmas.

The best thing about this amazing motorcycle is that it will match the new KTM Striders that have been tearing up the trails and dirt parks all over the globe!

Strider Leads The Way In Toddler Bike Technology!

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

Pretty soon you won’t be able to find any Striders with “Patent Pending” on them anywhere.  On December 14th our unique design with frame integrated footrests was awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office!  Here’s to a great end to the year and an even better 2011!
