Ryan (Strider Founder and Chief Enthusiast) didn’t take his sons Jesse and Bode to the 2011 powersports dealer expo, but he did bring them some cool swag like this autographed poster of one of their motorcycle heroes: Chad Reed!

Balance is so important in two wheeled endeavors. The KTM Strider is a great tool for Moto Dealers to Introduce kids to balance skills and prepare them for their future motocross adventures.

My wife told me not to buy anything...but this is for the kids so it's alright...right?
Some of the Striders were at the KTM booth. They got a lot of attention, especially from the Dads, who were looking at ways of including their kids in the fun. Strider is a universal hit with parents of all stripes whatever they ride; a mountain bike, road bike, fixie, single speed, motocross, Harley, KTM, enduro, etc!

Skip Salenius, Pro SuperBike Yamaha R1 Racer, got his son on a Blue Strider. He'll be lapping his Dad on a motorcycle pretty soon!

That’s what the graphic on this great video introducing Striders to North Carolinians says. While 63 degrees sounds good (as we sit inside on another chilly night in South Dakota) the story sounds even better! The only thing we can find to disagree with is the bike mechanic saying that Striders are “probably better than training wheels.” As most of you know already…Striders Rule, Training Wheels Drool! (Click on the screen shot below to jump to news story)

With Blizzards all around the country we’ve been looking for things to do inside! Mike; our graphic design guru, mountain bike friend, and father of a few Strider riders , thought of this interesting use of the excess bubble wrap he had laying around from all the presents he bought this holiday season. Tell me that doesn’t look like fun!

Are you looking for something extra to do on the side? No Strider dealer in your area and you want to introduce your neighbors and friends to the fun their kids can have on a Strider? Look into the Strider Home Based Dealer Program and you will be able to do both of these things and more.
Here is a short note and some photos from one of our newest home based dealers in Canada, eh!
“I am a new dealer in Vancouver, BC Canada and just wanted to email you and tell you how much we love the bike, firstly as parents and secondly as a small business (that rarely feels like work!) I just started two months ago and sold my 30th bike today! I wanted to pass on a little video if you have a chance to watch it of my 8 1/2 month old son trying out his future bike! He always has the biggest grin when he sees it or gets to ‘ride’ it!” ~Lindsay M.

Oldest son James rode the entire 2.5 km loop!
Mason is being carried for this walk and James is still able to stop and check things out astride his Strider.

We caught a quick glimpse of a red Strider PREbike on a NBC broadcast out of Philadelphia last week! Check out the Video(at 1:20 in), which has some great tips on safe toy buying as the holiday season fast approaches…much more informative than ‘Irwin Mainway: Consumer Probe‘

STRIDER PREbikes were featured in the January 1, 2010 issue of Bicycle Retailer and Industry News in the Product Review section. Hopefully this exposure will help bicycle shop owners around the nation realize that kids can connect with riding at a much younger age than ever before thanks to this revolutionary product. The sooner we get kids riding and loving increased mobility, adventure, and exercise, the healthier our nation will become. Thanks for spreading the word BR&IN.
