Tricycle vs. Strider PREBike – No contest!

Dear Strider Sports,

We purchased a Strider pre-bike for my 3 year old’s birthday, after seeing your Online Video Introduction.

What a fantastic bike! No longer is Bryant struggling to keep up on his tricycle when we go on walks…he’s blasting out ahead of us with his “Strider dirt bike” (as he calls it!).

Here are a couple links to videos of Bryant…one is trying to ride the tricycle, and the other is on his Strider. Feel free to use these if you would like!

The one piece of feedback I would offer is this: I would really like to see you include the brake with the Strider bike. Not only do I believe it would be more safe (that’s the first question our friends ask…”How does he stop?”), but it would keep Bryant from wearing out his shoes! (he already has a hole in one pair!)

I realize that we could order the brake separately, but I would encourage you to consider including the brake at the price point you charge for the bikes.

Regarding the brake, we’ve found for most toddlers it just gets in the way of learning to balance. Balance should be the number one skill when it comes to first getting on the Strider.

In Bryant’s case, it sounds like he’s ready for new challenges and the brake kit would enable him to start leaving skid marks and doing some tricks. You’re right, it will also help his shoes last longer!

What a blast! We had a toddler/preschooler race. Plus, we brought Striders with the optional heavy duty wheel set and let the big kids do some Strider “pit bike” racing.

Strider Riders… it’s Arena Cross time!

This Saturday night is another Black Hills Arena Racing indoor motocross night at the Fairgrounds Event Center in Rapid City, SD. Come in through the doors on the east side. Doors open at 5:45pm. Strider riders take to the track immediately and can ride until motorcycle racing starts at 6:30pm.… There will be a free pass at the front door for any parent/adult with an accompanying Strider/Rider… one pass per rider. Come have some fun, eat some concession stand junk food and stay for some good race action. God Bless America!

Strider PREbikes to hit the MX track this Saturday night!

It’s that time again… this Saturday night is another Black Hills Arena Racing motocross event at the Central State Fairground indoor event center and Strider riders are again invited to be pre-race entertainment. Doors open at 5:45pm and Strider riders can tear up the track until the first race starts at 6:30. There will be a free pass at the door for any parent/guardian bringing a Strider rider… riders get in free.

PS… stay and cheer for Bode McFarland (the original Strider rider), now racing in the PeeWee 4-6 class. He’s riding the #85 KTM… and currently the points leader!
