Try this with a Tricycle

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Face it…the only way things EVER get exciting on a tricycle is when they get dangerous. Nobody wants to put their toddler in danger, but trikes are inherently dangerous. Plus, kids need perfectly flat pavement to even move on a trike.

A Strider PREBike lets the little kids rip it up on ramps and at skate parks and off road, totally in control, totally at their own speed.

When kids are having fun and engaging their brains in challenging activity, they are more likely to continue playing and being active.  This keeps them outside and off the TV/ video games.  We love seeing video of strong, healthy little kids outside tearing around on Striders!  Keep the videos coming!

Strider Shipped to Italy for Family Vacation

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Here’s one from our emails:

Nate in Alta Badia

Nate in Alta Badia

Hi:

We don’t normally take the time to write testimonies, but my son has had so much fun with your Strider bike that we shipped it to Italy for our summer vacation, and it was the hit of the trip. We thought you would want to know that all the Italian kids watched with envy as my 3 year old rode through the streets of Florence, the hill towns of Toscany, and kids and adults alike were impressed as we rode the trails and gondolas in Alta Badia in the Italian Alps.

Also, you should know that we called once, shortly after we got the bike, to say that there was a bearing problem with the front wheel, and to our surprize someone answered the phone (on a weekend) and we had a new wheel shipped in a couple days without the hassles and paperwork you would normally expect.

Thanks,

Adam, Wendy and Nate

Strider PREbikes: Kissable

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

We got this note and photo from one of our dealers:

kissing-striderRemember that bike I had to send to Hawaii priority mail (cause you guys won’t drive to the post office for me to do parcel post – lol !!)  well he got it early and the grandma sent me this cute but fuzzy picture of him kissing the bike saying he loves it so much!.  He is also the one that I talked out of getting the mini glider – which was good as he would have been much too little.  He is turning 2 in about a week.  Thought I’d send it to you.

How to Ride a Strider PREbike

Monday, July 26th, 2010

This is John’s son.  John heads up our International sales.  His son is 2 ½ and really tearing around.  This is a great video shot in a nature park in Cleveland, OH, all off-road.  It shows JoJo going over logs, leaves, tree roots, etc. and having a good time.  Also shows Mom running to keep up!  And really demonstrates the striding, foot braking, striding with one leg on the footrests, etc.

We think JoJo looks like Luke Skywalker riding his speeder through the forests of Endor.

Learned to ride Before 3rd Birthday – No Training Wheels!

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Annette Sweigart sent us this comment:

“I never write reviews but I couldn’t resist this one. I set out less than two months ago to buy my 2 1/2 year old son a bike (with training wheels). I discovered the Strider online and ordered it thinking that with the money back guarantee, we had nothing to lose. He’s been riding it for the last 6 weeks, not even every day. Three days ago we put him on a two wheel bike, no training wheels! Check out the video taken yesterday on his third day riding a “big boy bike”. Trey will be 2 years, 9 months old tomorrow. And he’s riding a bike with no training wheels! Amazing–thank you!”

Toddler Bikes: Best Money We Ever Spent!

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Mother of twins Sarah Farthing recently bought Strider bikes for her boys. She sent us this comment:

“I have twin 3 year old boys and we just bought Striders for them about two weeks ago. It is the best money we have ever spent on them! These bikes have changed the way we spend our evenings and made exercise a part of every single day for all four of us. I have attached three fun videos. It is obviously not Christmas but I think it speak volumes about the excitement kids feel about your bikes that one of my boys made up a song “I got a new bike for Christmas!” just because he felt so much joy over getting it!

Thank you for this wonderful product, I recommend these bikes to everyone I know. I first saw them on The Good Stuff Guide recently…”

Learning to Ride a Bike

Friday, July 2nd, 2010
We’ve been inundated with testimonials from parents lately who are thrilled that their child is on a regular pedal bike after just a few short time on their Strider PREBike.

Here are just a few of the comments submitted on our site and you can read more and become a fan on our Facebook page:

“We bought a Strider bike for our 2 year old son in october and 7 months later at 2 years and 10 months old he is now riding a two wheeled bike – no training wheels. He absolutely LOVED his Strider bike and it made it so easy for him to transition to the pedal bike. Thanks for such a great product.” – Alyson Miyose

“Hands down the best investment we have made on an item for our son. He was riding his by the time he was 18 months old. We were so happy that the bike fit him. He is now 3 1/2, the bike still fits him and he still loves to ride it! The transition to a pedal bike was seamless. We love this product and can’t say enough wonderful things about it! Thank you for creating such an incredible product! We can’t wait to pass it on to our youngest” – Amber Tjeerdsma

Strider Comes in Six Colors

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Here’s a note from a happy mom… happy that we offer 6 colors!

“My daughter has a been a very happy rider of her Strider bike for the last year. Now, I am shopping to get her a pedal bike.

This makes me realize how grateful I am for Strider bikes and how I wish you offered a pedal bike also.

I am particularly put off my the different color schemes for “girls” and “boys” bikes, except the Strider, and even the differences in frames. I am the first to admit that girls and boys are often very different but at 3 years of age? Give me a break!

i will shoot myself before I let my daughter ride a pastel bike with white tires and a white chainguard. But I will have to settle for red, I guess, there are no purples or oranges in pedal bikes since I guess those are neither boy or girl colors.

Anyhow, thank you for not contributing to the madness.

-Mom of a happy rider of a lime green bike
(not a girl’s bike or a boy’s bike, but just a bike, for crying out loud)”

Learning to Ride a Bike times 4 Girls!

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

We heard from Paul in Woodbridge, Connecticut. He and his wife have 4 girls age 5 and under! The 3-year-old rides about 60% on her Strider and 40% on her pedal bike, although she still prefers the Strider. Paul says, “The 21-month-old cries if she doesn’t see her Strider bike in the car when we go places :)

Here’s the comment they sent in…

I am sure you have heard this before, but every parent should get one of these bikes for their kids :) . i have 4 kids under 5 years old. they started using the strider bikes as soon as their legs were long enough to touch the ground over the strider seat (around 18 months or so). they had the balance ride a pedal bike by the age of three because of the strider bike. they actually enjoy riding the strider more than the pedal bike up to about 5 (my oldest always grabs her pedal bike now before the strider). My 3 1/2 year old won;t let me go anywhere unless i have her strider bike and pedal bike in the car. she loves them both. awesome product. my 20 month old can coast 50 feet with her feet up on the strider already :) . she won;t let anyone ride “her” strider either ;) .
