Started Riding at 14 Months!

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Here’s a video of Braven Santos, two years and three months old, but started riding his Strider at just 14 months!

We just wanted to say “thank you” for allowing our son to enjoy biking as much as we do. He is 2 yrs and 3 months old and has been riding his Strider since he was 14 months. We uploaded a few youtube videos of him enjoying his bike. We had to build him a jump already. We have several friends who have purchased a Strider for their child after seeing how much Brevan enjoys his. Do you have any plans to make a bike that will grow with them? We are searching for a bike with pedals. I am not sure if if would be possible to make the Strider with an add on of pedals when they get ready. The bike is the perfect size for him and he handles it so well. Again, thanks and if you would like to watch him in action just go to the youtube website and search Brevan, Strider. There are three videos to choose from. One on his jump and two at Santos bike trail in Ocala, Fl. Enjoy!

Riding a Bike at Three-Years – Never Used Training Wheels

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Comments and photos from a very happy dad…

“Holy smokes, just took Estelle out for her first pedal bike ride without training wheels. She started riding the Strider over a year ago and today at 3 years and 4 months she went straight to the pedal bike w/out training wheels and she had no problem. Was riding in minutes! I have to help her start, but then it’s off to the races. She even said, “I never want to stop Daddy!” Music to the ears of a dad who runs a bike touring business.

Thanks guys!

Pro Bikers Know How to Get Their Kids Riding

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Here’s another pro downhill mountain bike racer with a kid on a Strider.

Thought you might want to check out my boy Gus on Bike Mags web site. He is almost 9 months and already taking flight. Just need to take the seat of and use pipe rap so his feet touch the ground.

We Knew 2-Year-Olds Could Ride, But We Didn’t Know They Could Write

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Here’s an email from a young Strider rider, pretty impressive grammar for a 2-year-old!

name: Graham Schuman

message: My name is Graham Schuman and I have a blue Strider bike.  I am 2 years old and ride it all the time.  I get to go to the dirt jumps with my dad and I just love it.  Check out this video.

We Love Happy Customers

Friday, May 7th, 2010

We messed up their order, but they’re still happy customers, and somebody’s getting a free Strider.

I will try to copy my son’s message below, and just want you to know that we are forwarding it to all our friends so they can hear about your GOOD WORKS!

“My daughter turns 3 next week and the wife and I decided to get her one of these new bikes with no pedals that kids can kinda push around and balance on……the one we got is called a Strider. Anyway, I ordered a pink one on Sunday and it got here yesterday. I went in the garage to open it up last night and take a look and everything was great, except it was red. I figured I screwed up the order, but I took a look at the packing slip and it said “pink” in there.

So, I called the Strider bike dude this morning (they are out of Rapid City, SD) to tell him the story. He was a super nice guy and told me they would send out my new pink bike today and that in that box would be a return postage slip I could put on the box with the red bike and just send back whenever I got a chance.

About 30 minutes after that conversation, I get an OC from my wife. The guy had called our home and asked my wife “If it isn’t too much trouble for you guys, we would prefer you just keep the red bike and please give it to a needy family in Boise”. My wife nearly fell over and so did I when she told me.

Anyway, just wanted to share that story as I thought it was cool as hell. If any of you are looking for little kid’s balance bike thingy’s, here is their website.

You have made my day . . .wishing you all the best!

Balance Bike Foot Rests, Strider Gives Toddlers a Natural Riding Position

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

The foot rests on a Strider balance bike are in the perfect place to ready toddlers for pedals. They offer a very natural riding position, making it so that kids are comfortable enough when they switch to a full fledged bike.

Here’s a cool video of Jack gliding downhill, awesome view of the foot rests in action!

Here’s another video of Jack easily striding back up the hill for another ride.
